I was thinking the same thing about them not needing uvb BSM but im not the most experianced in moniters so I didnt say anything.
From what I know with other reptile experiance is that ( just my saying) If you cant rub it backwards it normally needs uvb and monitors you can mostly.

I too have heard that many have kept monitors without UV/b successfully.

All this info is from other monitor keepers who have kept and bred monitors for 5+ years and from my own personal animals.
The key is a varied diet, that are high in nutrition. Prey items that were fed high quality foods which then were passed on to the monitors or you can you supplements.

"Repti Glo 10.0 Compact" - At the top of the page you provided. Any "spiral" bulb, or bulb that fits in a normal outlet (except for Mercury Vapor Bulbs), is a compact and should be avoided for now.
