8 simple steps to stopping HR669! - Please send in your "NO HR669" letters.

Thanks for this. I was going to do something about it but didn't know where to start. I found out about this not too long ago. How can they think of banning almost everything herp lovers own. I will go get more stamps and envelops today.

I feel the problem is that people don't know what to do to help. I truely think people want to help but just don't know what to do so they just say forget it and do nothing.

I'm working on putting together another tutorial on what else can be done with simple 1,2,3 steps.

By making it easy for people to know what to do NO one should have any excuse for not doing everything they can.

We as a community have the power to keep this great hobby alive.

I've even started getting the fish boards on this also. They're a lot of other hobbies (one being fish keeping) that will be effected by this. A lot of those people don't even know they're rights are under fire.

If you know anyone that keeps small mammals, birds, fish, any kind of non-native animals tell them about this page. Tell them they need to take action RIGHT NOW, not tomorrow.

Get your parents, friends, neighbors to send in letters. Or better yet print the letters for them and just have them sign the letters. Then just send them all in at one time.

I'll be sending in over 1000 letters, yes I said 1000 hopefully more. I have friends getting there friends on this. I'm going to just put them all in one big box and mail them in.

I'm trying to do my part. We need everyone to take this seriously. This is NOT a joke people. GET ON IT NOW!

I have 30 of these printing on letterhead as I type, to send to everyone on your list, as well as my state reps.

Today I decided that many of the people I'm sending to the www.nohr669.com will stop at that, and not send physical letters. Why not?

Because it's 22 letters printed, stuffed into 22 envelopes, with each envelope having the congressperson's name, and their return address, then they have to put these into a manila envelope and address that with Tom Wolfe's address and mail it.

That sounds VERY daunting. It's not, it's about 5 minutes of time. But many won't do it.
So.. what do you do?
Tell you what I did.
I bought envelopes, and manila envelopes and went and had letters printed. I've begun putting the representatives named on the envelopes, and Tom Wolfe's addy on the manila envelopes.. and then you put together a kit.
One kit includes:
22 copies of the letter(please sign and insert into envelopes)
22 pre-filled out envelopes(please add return address)
1 pre-addressed manila envelope

The cost of ONE KIT = $2.73 which I'm fronting, so for FREE you too can save your pet's future!
I'm going to hand these kits to those that I think will NOT go the extra mile. Right now I have enough stuff to do 10 kits. Mine is already gone, one has been given to the local guy who will have all his folks replicate the kit and send their 22 letters in.
That's 8 more people who otherwise would not have sent physical letters in.
Dang it.. I'll fight it!

I'm doing the same thing. But instead of sending the letters in a manila envelope I'm putting them in a box and sending them via FedEx.

I've footed the bill for 500 envelopes, paper and ink. Plus I've offered to pay the shipping cost to send the letters for anyone that will simply sign them and write there address on the envelopes.

Would it be possible to send a mass email or PM to all members of Ball-Pythons.net? I know this Bulletin Board System has that feature. I've gotten a few fish boards to do that.

Who do I need to PM or email to make that happen?

What I find crazy is the fact that so many breeders and reptile sites have no banners or anything on them!
