    If you cannot ensure proper quarantine, then you DO NOT get the animal.

    You should have your new enclosure up and running for at least 48 hours before moving an animal into it.

    Any new animal should be in a separate room, not just a separate enclosure.

    It does not sound like you are ready to be taking on a second animal. You need to provide for them, be prepared, know the risks, and take the correct precautions.

    That is part of a being a responsible keeper.
