Nice looking RTB! Of the three boa's we are currently housing two do like to have a hide on the warm side and the big 9 foot girl has a shelf she lays on that's pretty much out of the view of the livingroom (she's in a custom enclosure in that room of our house). I've found some amazing huge black plastic bowls for next to nothing right after hallowe'en. They make great hides.

Congrats, Nice looking animal. Right now I do have one RTB in house, actually in the sancuary as she will live her life out here (what's left of it as she is a very old girl) But she does love her hide. I have had many come through the rescue and go forward through to adoption and I think it just depends on the snake. I always put a hide in so the option is available.
Anyhow, very nice looking snake. I wish you luck on the cage building, please post pics along the way:)
