I can't tell if that duct tape is inside or outside of the tank?

I do hope it's on the outside :gj:

A couple of issues I see here.

Get rid of the log hide on the right, those are useless for ball pythons and replace it with a similar hide that you have on the left.
Also, do you have a UTH? Heat lamps are useless unless you are using them to boost temp in the air of the cage, in which, it still sucks humidity pretty bad.

How are you measuring temperatures and humidity?
Is there anyway you can use a toothpick and roll it longways along his jaw to get a look inside of his mouth again and take pictures if possible? It almost looks like mouth rot.

Another good idea would be to cover 3/4 of the sides of the cage with dark paper (or at least the back) for security and add some fun fake foliage in there to help with humidity and security for your animal.

It appears that your snake is either dehydrated by that eye, or it has a stuck eye cap from before. Either way, the humidity needs to be raised to about 60-70%.

Is that skull the water bowl? If not, where is it?

Also, no tape should EVER be allowed inside a snake enclosure. With heat sources, the adhesive can melt, and if the snake rubs up against the tape it can remove scales and do significant amounts of damage.

Edit: One last thing. I own that hide, and it is a HUGE hide that not even my adult ball pythons feel snug inside. You should have two small tight hides that they can barely fit into. That is how they like it.

I just picked up the tank yesterday and I am still getting everyhting squared away.

The eyecap thing is cleared up, he had a bad shed so I gave him a bath and let him squirm through a wash cloth.

The tape is not inside the enclosure, right now I have the probe inside the tank with the digital screen on the outside.

As of right now I have two under tank heat pads, and a ceramic bulb. However, the temps are still kind of on the low side so I am going to go get an infared bulb as soon as I have the cash. The humidity is fine.

As for the brown spot, its not there anymore, and I am starting to think it was a little piece of shed skin on the tank that just got unfocused when i took the picture.

The water bowl is in the center, its just hard to see because it is the same color as the substrate. As for the hides, well he really likes the the stone looking one, and its the medium not the large. He uses the log quite freqently to, it works wonders for something for him to rub against when he sheds as well.
