Re: Yellow Anaconda update
Yep, she has to be near me. If i'm handling her and I attempt to put her back in her tank she coils up and moves up my arm as if she doesn't want to go. I would handle her more right now but her eyes have cleared up and within the next 2 days she's going to be shedding, so I try not to handle her. Although i'll put my hand in the tank and ill pet her and she still rests her head on my fingers.

I definitely agree :P She is very pretty though and that's awesome that she has a great temperament. From what I understand anacondas are usually pretty nasty, so you're very lucky :) Hope she stays that way for you and it sounds like she will

That's exactly what my ball python does. It's so cute! :D Although I'm sure such behavior is more common with balls than with anacondas...but still, it does seem like some snakes actually like being handled. Even though some people would say that when they do that they're just trying to stay on their "branch" and not fall. But it's still cute! :D
Re: Yellow Anaconda update
I have a male and female pair both around 7 feet. I keep them in an enclosure that is both water and land. They are able to fully emerge in the water that is about 4 ft deep. I also keep live fish in the water for them incase they get hungry between meals. It is amazing watching them eat their rats underwater. They spend alot of time in the water. I really want to sale them though. So if you are interested later on in a adult pair let me know. They do have the typical anaconda personality. I unfortianatly did not get them as babies to spoil them like you are doing.

I will talk with the person who limited me to 2, and find everything out, and I will definately get back to you on that. As far as being in water, mine doesn't really spend alot of time in water, though i'm sure she will when she gets bigger, the reason they spend time in water is because the water helps support their bodyweight.
Re: Yellow Anaconda update
glad to know i'm not the only one who has a clingy snake ;)
@Neal:
Not so sure if I read correctly...but the conda's female right?

Re: Yellow Anaconda update
Thanks, I just wish she would grow a bit bigger quicker. lol
Re: Yellow Anaconda update
Well then you should have gone with a retic
Re: Yellow Anaconda update
No, if I wanted a retic, I would of gotten one lol. I just want her to get around 4ft, then she can take her time to grow after that. Retics get a lot longer then what i'm looking for.
