My bp grabs their face and then starts to eat their butt. Gets its halfway in, gives up and goes for the head. EVERY time.
I have one who constantly strikes and coils the back half of the rodent, leaving the front end free to bite! Tongs to the rescue :)

I got bit the second time feeding, ever. It was 100% my fault and I still laugh about it. I was placing the rat in her enclosure and WHAM! she snagged my pinky finger.. This wouldnt have been a problem but I had my pinky finger extended between her and the mouse..

"Stunning" doesn't sound very humane...

more humane than allowing the rodent to harm the snake, imo. a quick flick on the top of the head is all it takes.

don't wanna hijack the thread, but there are more humane methods of dispatching a feeder. if you are going to kill something, kill it. the person i was speaking to mentioned feeders with brain damage from this "stunning". i just kinda thought that we should be humane to not only our reptiles, but also to the animals we use to nourish them.
