    In my sons' show and tell posters, one of the bullet points under "Why snakes make great pets" is They Don't Stink.

    And yes, they really don't if maintained properly - clean substrate being the first and foremost. They get a subtle gym sock smell right before they shed and, of course, you need to take out the shed skin after they're done shedding which takes out that smell as well.

    keep your husbandry on cue and take care of it. feeding, cleaning routine handling. read the caresheet on this site and follow it religiously.
