Well when I first got my BP I wore gloves because I was a little timid. It helped me get brave enough to handle him with out gloves. I used my winter gloves and I only used them to take him outta his tank then after I took it off (I only wore one). Now I rarely use them. Only use them when taking him out of his feeding tank as he is still in feeding mode in there. I don't see any problem with it if it helps you with confidence.

If its just a baby then dont worry. When they do bite it barely breaks the skinn and only bleeds if you squeez the area and force the blood out. A paper cut s a thousand times worse. I get bit by the hatchlings every now and then and they dont even leave marks. Just remember when you do get bit just freeze. It wont hold on it will most likely be a defensive strike. Dont panic and dont throw/drop the snake. Just freeze and relax. It doesn't hurt and it wont do any damage. If you get bit by an adult as a feeding response thats a different story.
