    Hi,

    Well it's 240V in britain. :P

    Selarep,

    You can get flexwatt sent over for less if you ask them to send it USPS - I did that when I got mine. But remember to tell them what voltage you need and, if you are ordering it made up , what plug.

    You can also get some heat mats which should work fine I think- the only one that might not be powerfull enough would be Ultra-therms.

    I'm afraid I don't know what the voltage etc is in Gibraltar ( I think its the same as the UK for obvious reasons but don't really know ) but you can definately get some good european thermostats;

    Proportional - the only ones I have found are Habistats from Eurorep. I have used this brand for years and have only had one failure. I do have some that are still in use after ten years plus though and you get a wide range of models with various features such as night drop etc.

    The on/off types have a bit more variety - both luckyreptile and microclimate seem to be popular and some types of the microclimate have an intresting safety feature built in. I do not yet own any but intend to test one on an incubator because of that feature.

    Both makes have various models with different features and the luckyreptile ones are the only digital thermostats I have seen this side of the pond so far.

    All of them can be found on ebay fairly readily or from dedicated reptile stores.

    Thanks guys for all the info.

    Here we do have same voltage as Britain. Dr Del I will def check those t-stats out and get some ordered online. Will most probably change the ones I have on my iguanaŽs cages also as I donŽt trust the ones IŽve bought before now. These are some random spanish brand I got across the border.

    Am moving house in a few weeks (fingers crossed) and am planning on changing some of the vivs so IŽll order some flexiwatt as you mention then.

    Thanks again!! :)

    Just a small update:

    last weekend tequila shed and his belly is practically as new! There are only a couple of scales that still look abit wrinkly (or maybe its me being paranoid!).

    Also got some habistat thermostats from ebay.

    Thanks for your help!
