This may sound stupid

BPs will go when they need to. My pastel goes regularly and often when I am holding him. I learned to watch for muscle contractions and him lifting his tail and to keep a folded towel on the floor. Most of the time it is only urate and pee but being peed on isn't the most pleasant experience.

the answers in here pretty much cover what you need to know. i just wanted to say that there is no such thing as a stupid question. if you dont know then ask your doing the right thing.
