    I will bet that you will find shavings/ some other material caused the blockage if she makes it ot the vet.

    aspen is very low risk for this. it would be something harder like bark or walnut shell.

    and i do agree there is a very good change that its blood is already septic.

    hi guys

    so heres hte update.

    the vet said she had a build up of some sort of fluid in her tail hence the 'fat patch' she then managed to contract septaseimia (spelling?). i now have her on a course of anti biotics and a solution to take care of the infection and clear up her scales.

    the source of the fluid build up or reason of why it was there in the first place is unknown.

    Glad to hear she's gonna pull though. Good job getting her the right care.

    And you claim she's a 6'8" corn? I gotta see pics of this! Post 'em pleaseeee!:gj:

    thats great news. septicemia is no joke glad that the vet felt it was still treatable and went forwards.

    Hey peeps

    Barabara is on an injection of antibiotics a day. i put iodine on her split scales and althoguh she hasnt eaten yet she has had a stomach tube thingy.

    shes pretty active. and im glad to have her with me.

    and she's not 6'8''. shes just 6'. but still growing!!!

    A 6 footer is still impressive. Once she's all healed up I'd love to see some pics!

    And I wouldn't worry about the not eating just yet. Meds can kill their appetite and a few weeks off food never hurt a corn.
