I do not mean to be rude, but it looks like a light normal to me. Is this a proven morph / line? Have you produced burgandies? Is it a simple recessive morph?

Probably not fond of you because her origins are in a much more competative arena. I am just guessing she was WC by her appearance. However, she is a gorgeous snake Raul. I'd put up with her attitude.

The burgandy coloration does not show up at all on camera thats why I put her next to a normal. No she is not proven and yes it is a simple recessive morph which I hope to prove out this year if her son gets to size. If not I will put another morph on her(probably a butter) and try again next year. I sold her babies(spiders) priced as regular spiders explaining they are possible hets until she is of course proven. When you see her in person there is no mistaking she is not just your average light normal, I have fires and other light normals and she looks nothing like them. Over a dozen folks on this forum have seen her in person and could confirm she is very peculiar and appears to be a burgandy. Time will tell;)

No your not rude just skeptical which is fine, no worries.

Thanks Raul! Hope she proves out for you! That will be a major plus for your customers who bought the spiders if she proves out.

I agree Tim she very well could have been a WC, thats not how she was sold to me, but because of the old scaring on her I wouldnt be surprised. Thankfully she eats and breeds fine. I have had her for over a year and a half with no problems. She doesnt strike, but is not very social at all, a real nervous nanny.

thanks raul. but i have another question, what makes a burgundy? is it the burgundy colored alien eyes on the sides? or is the whole black pigment in the snake's body replaced with burgundy? or is there another explanation? thanks
