    Is it something you could be doing wrong? Is it a brand new unit? Have you been using it, and it just started messing up?

    It has to be the helix because i hooked my cheaper t stat up and everything is working fine. I use a heat gun to check temps and the tape was up to 120-130. So it wasnt turning the tape on and off. I was wondering if anyone ever had this problem to see if it was possible to fix the t stat i'd hate to throw it away.

    try to see if your have a disconnected probe wire inside the device. or order a replacement probe from RBI

    Don't throw it away. Call Tim at Helix, and send it to him. He will fix it and send it back in brand new shape.
