    well i'll suggest you to keep your tank simple do not put any decorations on it neither bedding just paper towels,hides, and a water bowl until the mites are gone ussually ball pythons wont eat if they have mites and if you bought it at a pet store they're ussually imported from africa in the wild where there's mites i would recommend you to buy one from a petco store

    Hm.. theres been a lot of nasty cases that have come out of Petco. Make sure you research before you speak.
    Petco is known to be one of the worst places to buy any living reptile.

    Also, I don't think mites effect their feeding habits very much unless it's causing them enough stress to go off feed. I suggest buying any animal from a well known and researched breeder.
