    do you ever notice the snakes "cuddling"? Are they very active?

    When using a uth you must must must use a thermostat or a dimmer if you can't afford a thermostat. This will prevent belly burns. How are you measuring your temps?

    They are active in the evening and at night. They spend their days in their hides. They sometimes share a hide, sometimes sleep in seperate hides. I don't have a uth so no, I don't have a thermostat or dimmer. If/when I add a uth, it will be on a thermostat.

    UTH's are pretty much standard in the BP husbandry world. As long as you use a T-Stat, the chances of something bad happening are small.

    Though probably not related to the problem you're having with their eyes, you really do need to have them in sperate enclosures.
