    Mine has a hid because I really couldn't fit 2 and a water dish. He only likes his one hide anyways. I'm going to change his tub to a larger one as soon as he eats steady for a few months.

    I just built a new rack and I offer my snakes one good hide. Where the tubs are alot smaller than a terrarium or enclosure to start with, the snakes usually feel secure from the start. I offer one hide per tub anyway, and some use it, some don't. I put it in the middle of the tub and they use it at their convience. Thats just what worked for me.:D

    I'm sorry, but I strongly disagree with you keeping your snakes in darkness 24/7. They NEED a day/night cycle... Put your lights on timer and give them what they need.

    I have RBI cages and have 2 medium hides, medium sized H20 bowl and branch to climb on...
