I pretty much follow the same rule of thumb for everything that Connie said. We held off breeding all of our female until 300 grams, but I think 250 is fine, but no lower. As for feed, I would supplement some extra protein with the ASF's. Our production has been sucking since we switched ours to Mazuri. Just food for thought.
I thought they pretty much had one nice litter, then started being pains in the arse. :weirdface
Ever get any new rats?

Re: Few Rat questions?
You are right. We have the original trio we started with, and both females dropped their first litters right around when we expected them. It was over 2 months before we had the 3rd, and last litter so far. It has now been almost a month since our last litter from the other female, nothing from female number 2 or the new holdback female yet. If they dont start producing on a higher protein diet, they are getting gassed. If Pandora will take rats, I probably wont bother getting another trio going, but if I had a trio that produced like everyone says they will, they may be worth keeping around for our baby corns.
Overall...I have not been impressed with ASFs. The little son of a guns bite me and dont breed.

That sucks! When I first started with only one group I got in over my head pretty quick! But now we have enough baby snakes to eat the small ones, and it seems we always have just enough ASF's for our snakes.
Lemme know if you ever want to give another go with em. :gj:
