I do not smoke! Both of my parents smoke and I did for a few years. But I have not touch a cancer stick in many years. I even liked a little pinched between my lip and gum. Then to find out after years of my parents smoking and then a few years of my own I am allergic to tobacco. I also have asthma. So my sensitivity level is very high I cant stand the smell of it. Now that people can not smoke inside anymore, you have to walk past all them smoking right outside the door to the place.

The health risks alone should make people want to quit or not start in the first place. Smoking leads to so many problems. It should be illegal but the government makes so much money from it...

I don't smoke, and don't really have an issue with people smoking around me as long as there is good ventilation. I am VERY allergic to the smoke and will wheeze for days afterward.

I had to clarify this because I said it really bothered me, but honestly I was thinking of a more physical reaction than emotional one.

That really bothers me. I think it is pretty selfish when people force others to suffer from their bad habit. I wouldn't care if they would just walk 20 feet away from the entrance.

I grew up raised my a heavy smoker, I smoked for 16 years and I quit back in 2005  (yes I am that old :O)

People smoking around me do not bother me unless I am eating (I can't stand trying to eat while smelling cigarettes) no longer a problem those days.

I dont think it should be illegal! Doesnt our government have enough control over our lives. They where even considering making the snakes we love illegal. I agree some people show no consideration. But making tobacco illegal is not the answer.

Well I wish I could say I had quit, but it was so hart to quit when your spouse is still puff puffing away rite there in front of you.
When I was growing up my mother smoked a lot, 1-2 packs a day, all of my aunts smoked, all the men in the family smoked cigars. I started smoking when I was 15, a friend and I had climbed up onto the roof (don't ask why) and when a gust of wind blew by and knocked the ladder down we were stuck. with a few hours of nothing to do she offered me a cig, and I have been smoking ever since.
I quit for both of my pregnancys, and just recently I passed the 2 week mark, then with my hubby smoking, and a lot of bad things are happening rite now, I fell off the wagon.
In a little while I will try and quit again, when my husband starts to see I need his help too.
