    In your earlier question, you asked if hets always prove out. IF they are in fact hets, then by definition that means they carry the gene. However, you could in theory get a bad string of luck and never get a visual morph even after pairing 2 hets together many years in a row. This is exceedingly unlikely, but not impossible.

    The bigger problem is that somehow, the snake you believe is a het isn't actually. There are numerous way this can happen. Maybe the breeder (or other person) who sold it to you was dishonest. Maybe the breeder accidently mixed up their snakes and so you have one that they thought was het for clown, but it isn't. This is why it is important, especially when buying hets, to buy from a reputable breeder.

    ONLY buy hets from a really really reputable breeder. Like Wilbanks or NERD or Graziani or someone else you KNOW is honest.
