I am deffenetly going to be buying either from online or a show..but seeing as there arnt any shows by me, prob. online.

Now im just wondering why some pastels are 700 on one site and 300 on another:confused:

    Thanks!!
    Mike~

I have seen male pastels go for as low as $75. Try to find a reptile show around you to find a good deal :D

My personal experience is that it will always depend on the snake. I have a 2000g normal female who is as close to affectionate as snakes get. I also have a 1800+g het. albino male who's as finicky as all get out and used to strike at me every time I walked by. I personally prefer females over males, but they're both amazing. I'd check with the breeders. Maybe they can get you a great snake.

i got my big boy pastel at a reptile show for 150 and hes 1400 grams. reptile shows are where you are going to usually find the best price.

I prefer males because the housing is easier in the long run. Most males won't outgrow a 32qt tub in their lifetimes. A big female would need more room.

A reptile show is a great way to purchase a Pastel because you can hold it and see the colors in person, but if you don't have a local show, buying online from a reputable breeder can be a great experience. If you need the name of a great breeder, drop me a PM.

I didn't think about old pricing. I contacted some online breeders today to see what they have available:banana:

I'm leaning more towards a female now because they get bigger, i wouldn't mind having a little bigger snake. :D

    Thanks for the reply's!

If it were me I would go with a male if you are not planning on breeding. If you are planning on breeding then you should go with a female.

I would contact Adam Wysocki 8ballpythons.com

You can't go wrong with with and 8ball snake. 4 of my 5 are from Adam. He is a great guy, just shoot him an e-mail he will get back with you....

Why would you go with a male over female? Just the price difference?

Sent over an e-mail to em a little earlier, cant wait to hear back from them!

    Thanks,

Once you get one, you will probably get another, and another, and another....

You might want to breed in the future, so getting a female might not be a bad idea :D Keep in mind you won't be able to breed her for at least 2 winters. ;)
