    THANK YOU everyone for your input:salute:

    I did some internet shopping with your advice in mind and decided to go with the repti 500R in conjunction with a temp gun (to regulate any inconsistencies in the gauging). Now i can use the temp gun to monitor my water and cool side as well, which i controll with a 4 setting even-heat 12" by 15" heat pad for people!
