    see i've read theories on everything from alkalinity to fur to lipid contents. it all makes sense, i just never talked to anyone that's actually gotten there's to EAT rodents.

    From my reading, I take that the problem is associated with the nutritional content of rodents when compared to toads. Rodents are fatty and harder to digest. So like anything, it is very easy for overly eager keepers to 'overfeed' their easterns. If you keep hair out of the mix and do not attempt to 'fast grow' the snake...there should be no problem. These snakes are not to be treated like cornsnakes where you can feed the hell out of them without really any worry.....people forget that :)

    Mine eats fuzzy mice without any issues....yet.
