Thank you everybody! I know we will still be getting corns since that is my husband's favorite snake right now(and our daughter's!). I'm leaning more towards the BPs,though, because I think they're a little more docile and calmer or that could just be me! I highly doubt we'll be getting anything bigger because we do have cats and all my kids are still pretty young, even though I would love to get them. I just don't think any of us are prepared or confident enough to handle very large snakes. These guys are the perfect size for us! Although, my one corn is about 5 feet in length and pretty hefty!

Hubs is working on building us a nice rack system for the snakeys so we don't have all these vivs scattered through out the living room and bedroom.

Yeah, we name all of our corns after Harry Potter(except for Pink) and have decided the BPs will be after LOTR. We're both insanely obsessed with both movie series. We have movie props from LOTR in our living room! Plus, the kids get a kick out of saying Longbottom and Lovegood! It's amazing really how obsessed with snakes our 7 year old daughter is! The boys can take 'em or leave 'em but she really wants to get into this stuff. She's even learned different morphs and what can produce what. She cracks me up when she starts telling people about the proper care of corns and what morphs we have and what they are het for. And she just thinks the BP is the greatest thing ever but upset that he doesn't fit around her like our adult corns do.

Well, it's been almost a month since the last pics so I figured I post up some newer ones.
Turns out the store(I knew there was a reason why I've NEVER bought a snake from a store!) sexed him wrong and he is now MS. Sauron! Anyway, the first pic shows her stuck in a really bad shed. As soon as she went "blue" I put a moist hide in with her even though I do keep the humidity at around 54%. She refused to even go into it! So I would just give her a quick mist every day. Obviously, it still didn't work. So I had to give her a bath and let her soak and then used a tepid damp towel to get it off. I got tagged a couple of times while working on her head but as soon as those eyecaps came off she was very very laid back and let me get the rest off of her. So here are some before and after shots! Enjoy! Oh and she's sitting at 200g now! That's a gain of 43g's since I got her!

Grats, she looks great. I suggest putting her in a damp pillow case next time she has a stuck shed. Leave her in there for around 45 minutes or so, and then let her work her way out. She should be able to get the shed off of herself. You will be less likely to get tagged this way, and it will be less stressful on her.

Thank you! I was going to try to use a damp pillowcase but I was worried about the fact that all my pillowcases are washed in fabric softener. I know that sounds stupid of me to worry about but I did. So, I could just grab a case out the linen closet and use it?
