corns and bps in the same rack?

I can change the humidity of individual tubs in a rack setup. Why would it matter it they were in the same ran as bps? I will put them on a seperate thermostat

Well if they are in "ball python" heat ranges then it will in turn make the humidity levels higher.

Well yes but if they were on a different thermostat then it wouldn't matter. :P
I think I have my answer though. Not the answer I was hoping for, but I can manage that. I won't be getting a corn until summer though.

I was going off the original heat levels :oops::P.I found out if you try to save a penny your snakes might suffer.I am not saying to buy high dollar stuff though,just sharing my experiances :P

You could drill more holes in the corn's tub to lower the humidity. With all the tools you have keeping them on the same rack seems perfectly doable. Just make sure their needs are met. :gj:

I keep my corns in the same rack as my BPs. Right now they are on the lower two shelves and have no heating, the room is set for low 80s.

But previously, I had the corns hot spot on the same thermostat as the BPs cool end. That gave them a range of 78 - 82.... worked out well. I will probably do that again (soon).

If you have a thermostat that controls your cool end, you can use it as the corn's hot end and just leave the other side as unheated. Just check your temps and see what you come up with in the end.

An excellent option!! I just think the biggest concern most of us have is keeping a corn at 82-92...

I agree. Keeping a corn at 92 is just not such a good idea. It would be like habitually keeping a BP at 100... or higher.

I think I finally figured this out. Please let me know if I cannot do this.

So I was thinking I could just get a piggyback light dimmer for each shelf of the rack that a corn would be on. Then just dial it down until I get into the cornsnake hot spot range. That way I can still plug it into the same thermostat and not have to worry about extra wires all over the place.

Sound like a good plan? I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier. It is such a simple solution!
