True Ghost and the Killer Clowns are too sweet. Gotta go set some more breeding goals!

The one with all the white blushing looks like a super pastel tiger(...or desert.)

    Hello everyone,

First off, Celia and I want to thank all of you that support the calendar every year! We used to think that we could never do very well with them because they were so expensive but we really struggled to offer the best collector quality calendar that we could. We could always make them cheaper but getting the photography to present itself with the most accuracy wouldn't be a top priority.

We figured that more people would have asked about the cover animals by now. I'm glad that Albey has mentioned them in this thread. As Albey stated these animals were produced by a gentleman named Mike Faircloth. We listed them in the calendar credits (on the back page of the product) as an "unproven potential new morph" and it is exactly that. These animals were produced from a pair of seemingly standard Pastel Jungles. These animals display an incredibly busy pattern with very unique head pattern as you can see from the animals in the photo that I have attached.

The clutch that these animals hatched from contained Super Pastels, Pastels and Normals as well as the unique Super Pastels and unique Pastels. This project is very special and I think it is one of the more unique pattern anomalies that I have seen and also IF it is inheritable it has presented itself as a recessive trait. Exciting stuff! I'm sure you will hear more about this project as it develops. I assure you that the breeder has full intentions of seeing this project through. I'm sure IF it can be proven, he will be the one to do it and bring it to market. In the meantime I'm very excited for him! Congratulations Mike... Stuff like this couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

If you guys have any other questions about these animals or project, please address them on this thread or in a BP.net private message to me.

Wow very cool Sean and thanks for letting us all know. Please send your friend Mike my congrats on what looks like an exciting new recessive pattern morph. I do have a question though if you feel like answering it. Has he hatched out just the new morph by itself or just the Pastel and Super Pastel combos?

Thanks for writing back Albey! I have e-mailed Mike a link to this thread so that he can check it out as well. The answer to your question is no. No there were no normal animals in the clutch displaying the trait. I found it pretty amazing that he got such a diverse hatch from the small clutch that he got. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions based on this one clutch. Hopefully he has been able to get the dam back up to size for this season. We all know we could use a new recessive pattern mutation.

    Thanks again for the questions,
