sorry to hear about the corn snake too...that's horrible :( I'd probably never recover from something like that

Thank you! She was I think 34" last time I measured her. She's growing fast.
I think she is a bit underweight though, I tried to feed her a small rat (frozen) but she couldn't seem to get it down, yet adult mice seem too small for her... :/ I don't know, maybe she's just naturally a bit thin? Or I may be paranoid.

Yeah. I'm still really upset, I really liked him. I never took his set up down. I don't know when I will. I may not get another cornsnake, I guess.

And to Slim, Thank you also! :D

Beautiful! I am sorry for your loss.

I would take down his set up and either get rid of it or serlize it. Since you don't know what he died of watch your bp very closely. I could just be an alarmest but I would hate to see you loose your bp as well as your corn. I know it is hard but don't use anything that was in your corn's tank in your bp's tank (or even a new corn until you can be certian nothing transferable is in the tank).

As for feeding try a rat pup. I would also cover the entire tank to give privacy while you are feeding. Some snakes don't like to be watched or out in the open when they eat. Also check your temps and humidity.

You have a beautiful bp. Sorry for the long post.

Yeah my girl's only around 24in. It is amazing how fast they grow though :aww:

I don't think all ball pythons have to be super chubby. Every ball is different and mine's always seemed a little on the thin side as well. I think as long as they keep a nice rounded shape instead of looking triangular or sickly then they're fine.

It is hard when they're in that in between size where mice are too small and rats are too big. I would try feeding two mice until she can get a rat down easy :)

Thank you. :D I'll try out everything you said. I'd be devastated to lose my ball so I'll do everything I possibly can to protect her.

Do you know where I can buy rat pups? I'm pretty sure the rat I bought was the smallest kind of rat they had at petco. :(

Yeah, probably true. I just worry easily. ^^; She's so important to me, I want to make sure she's feeling her best always. But one thing I learned with fish keeping is worrying so much that you act without thinking to help them can often do more bad than good.

I wonder if the more bulky looking females I've seen were just because they were older. It seems like a lot of the young snakes look more thing. Who knows.

I'll give her two mice for now if I can't find any rat pups in the area. :D Thank you for your help~
