That makes sense haha. Like I said, the whole breeding things gets me lost so I didn't know females run that high. I just wanted to breed him to someone with a female Albino and only keep one Albino baby. I'd get far too lost with 3+ baby snakes :P

Thank you Bruce! You've made things clear on yet ANOTHER thread! :P

It can get confusing can't it? :frustrate

In a little time you'll be a pro and it will be old hat.

And 3 + baby snakes (and by "+" I mean 20 or so) is my idea of heaven. :)

You could search craigslist and see if someone has an adult female ball that you could 'adopt'.

I shouldn't even really use adopt because craigslist has become a site where breeders like to post snakes they've bred for sale. "Mojave ball python, adoption fee of $400!" And most of the people are asking too much money for them in my opinion.

Yeah, I tried the craigslist option but all there really is is normal BPs that no one has any idea what the sex is or, like you said, morphs for $400+! So crazy. People just trying to make a quick buck because they made a decision to get a pet that they realized they don't provide the proper home for. Boooooo!

It's a bit of a gamble. Most people try to sell with the cage, I ask for a price without. If the price is right, I will give it a shot depending on the looks. If they're persistent about the cage going too, I generally ignore because they ask ridiculous prices. Some guy was trying to get $400 out of a normal adult, 40 gallon aquarium, cage carpet, uth, water dish, and hide. Too much for me. Considering he was probably asking for double what he got all that for.

For $110 total I got my BP from a lady in Rhode Island, brand new tank, plants, hides and water dish from a local store.

My hood was $250 but I bought that way back when I was bringing tortoises back to health when the little guys got pneumonia and such. It's pretty sweet it has 2 regular light bulb slots and a fluorescent light strip. I keep a ceramic heat emitter in one bulb slot and a regular light bulb in the other.

But anyways, I've seen WAY too much ridiculous stuff on CL. It makes me laugh though; ESPECIALLY the backyard breeders who want to "rehome" the puppies. Yeah, rehome them for $600 for a mix breed and they can't even identify what breeds were mixed! Oy. Someone needs to tell Craig to keep better track of his list!
