I wouldn't buy it. I'm sure you can find a similarly colored snake at a normals price ($30 or so) that will be much healthier.

pastels typically have green eyes. prolly just a nice high yellow normal. i'm sure if they had pastels in on purpose, they would price them accordingly.

Yeah, there is a petsmart here in Columbus, Ohio that had two come in. I thought maybe they didn't know what it was so I asked how much it was. The guy was like "it is actually different from a normal and its $400. I just laughed and walked away. Quite ridiculous.

black eyes = not a pastel.

ALL pastels have green eyes.

Regardless, if you like it, buy it. I personally would not pay any more then a normal price. I have a few normals that are VERY light. They are still only normal.... and that is why I paid normal prices.

how much did you pay? sure the snake looks nice, and you may have gotten a good deal... but you hear countless stories of people who got their snakes from a pet store and now they're sick or have mites or won't eat... to me I'd rather buy from someone I know has been keeping it in a good environment and that I am getting a healthy snake.

a local pet store has a pastel for $200 or $225

The local Petco here had pastels for awhile but they were marked as such and had a $150 tag.

Some Petsmarts have been carrying them... Just buyer beware...

If it is to good to be true I promise it is.
