Need info on caring for Blood/Ball python eggs.

Thank you Lucas. Yes our tank does hold the temp and the humidy great. We have the temp at 80f during the day and 75f at night the humity stays at 60%. Yesterday we took the male out and put him in a cage by hisself. We have the eggs in a plastic container with mosit paper towels in at and the temp is set at 88f but since it isnt in a real setup the temp varies so we have to keep checking on it. But I would like to have the eggs with the mother I had just read that you are suppose to put the eggs in a diff cage. I would preferr the natural way though .

im not sure if she will take them back. i don't have too much experience with eggs yet (well none at all to be honest). when moving them make sure you don't rotate the eggs. 2K dime is one of the blood people on here. ask him about you temps. to me they sound a little low. you could try and put the eggs back with the mom and she if she'll take them back. pictures would greatly help all of this though. this can be exciting but you need to be prepared to care for the babies.

kara from nerd is on here every once and a while. in the mean time check out his care sheet (http://www.newenglandreptile.com/CareBlood.html). it has everything including reproductive info. you should treat them like blood eggs cause thats who they came from.

i hope you aren't planning on make it big with these though. and im not trying to be mean. many people don't like hybrids. they don't sell very well either so be prepared to have them for a while.

Your gonna want the eggs in an incubator at 89 to 90 degrees. Set the eggs up like you would any other python eggs. The way you've got them setup now wont work, and your more than likely going to lose them if you keep them that way.

Putting them back with mom isnt the greatest idea now either. Your temperature variation is too wide and maternal incubation takes better control over temps thn what you've got.

Your best bet is an incubator...

ok thanks. I was just going to take them to our pet store here and see if they would want them once they hatched since they buy snakes from people that come into the store. Also I will take some pictures of the eggs today on my phone to post here .

Good point on the hybrid part. The eggs should be able to be setup just like ball python eggs though. High humidity buried halfway in your incubation substrate thats been mixed 1 to 1 weight wise with water inside a small container. Incubated for ~60 days at 89f to 90f
