Matt, I'm completely shocked you would say that. I'm sorry to be rude, but you couldn't be more wrong. I pulled one of mine out several times yesterday. We went outside (kinda warm here) and I put him on a branch and took some pics. Then put him up for a bit while I ran to the store, came back and took him back out for some more pics with my better camera (batteries were dead and I was out of film besides B&W)

BCI's are okay, they are not arboreal and will become a large, heavy snake. I've held a 11 foot coastal carpet that weighed just over 9 pounds. I really love carpets. If you get a mid- late 08 you can count on it being nippy. The biggest question is what has it ben feed. If they say "anything" pass on it. You want someone proud that they only feed their carpets rats. Carpets are the most stubborn about going from mice to rats and you can end up with a 8 foot snake eating 5 or 6 mice vs. 1 med rat.

Will Bird is more reasionable on his prices IMO. He's a reputable breeder and only feeds rats. If you're looking for something not top notch I'd recommend him. If you want a top shelf animal you will pay for it.

Edit: Let me be sure to say a green tree probably isn't for you. I just wanted to set the facts straight.
