I was EXTREMELY disappointed with my order from American Rodent Supply! I ordered 200 mice (100 large, 100 jumbo). When I opened the box, the size separated bags of mice had exploded and there were tons of loose mice in the box. The bags looked like they had just stuffed them to the max which caused them to tear before they had even shipped it. I say that they most likely tore prior to shipping because when I opened the box, the worse of the four bags were on top and looked as if whoever packed everything had gently placed the 2 exploded bags on top and then scooped a bunch mice on top of those bags. Essentially, I had to re-bag almost everything.

The size of the mice was also a joke. The jumbos were big and meaty, but the larges were 'medium' at best and quite thin. Bad batch of mice? Who knows but now I breed my own feed because of this experience...

Oh and not to mention, the bags were filthy and covered with feces...

If you will take advice from a troll such as me (that means that I live beneath the bridge to all you foreigners outside of Michigan),there is a guy in the UP that posts on this site that breeds and sells at least ASF. His name is Tim Hurkman I believe. I can't think of the name that he posts under. If someone is kind enough to give his screen name you could send him a PM. I believe that he is in the central UP. I don't know if he is near you or not, but I am sure that he could advise you.

As I think about it, I think that his last name is Hurkmans with an s and I think that he is in the Iron Mountain area. No islands there.

It's the only Island big enough to support year around living at the Eastern end of the Peninsula that I can think of except of course Mackinac Island has a few people in the winter to maintain stuff. I suspect that you have gone back to your family or at least where everybody knows your name to find employment in our great Michigan economy. I have come to dislike winter too. :salute:
