    you can get a digi temp/humidity gauge from walmart for cheap, $6-$12.

    they have acurites for about $12 or they have springfields for around $6.

    DJ, is your BP doing this after the sun goes down or during the daytime? If is't during the day, I would guess that you have a hidden husbandry issue to serach for. If it's at night, I would be less concerned. BPs can exibit some very non-BP behavior at night. Lately, my boy has taken to streaching out full length across the top of his cool hide every night about 8:00pm...lays there for a couple hours, knocks my digi gauges upside down, then goes back into whichever hide suits his fancy.

    Sounds like your only source of heat is a lamp?

    Three letters - UTH. Place it on one side of the tank. Hide on both sides with one entrance/exit. Heat rises so lamps are kinds lousy for trying to throw heat downward. Also, UTH's aid in digestion, particulalry RTB's - but that's another subject.
