When BP's are stressed, it can sometimes induce another shed cycle.
Also, everytime that you rearrange your BP's cage, you need to leave him alone for a few days to adjust. get his cage to where you want it/ it meets the hesting requirements, and dont mess with him for a week except to refill water and spot clean the cage. I wouldn't even try feeding him for that week so he can settle in. BP's are nocturnal by nature, so chances are that you wont see them move unless your awake between 10pm-6am.

Thank you very much for that information. I will leave him be. What should I do about his eye caps though? After a certain period of time is it dangerous for them to still be on?

    Hi,

Are you absolutely certain they are retained eyecaps?

As mentioned stress (and injuries etc ) can make them go into a shed cycle earlier than you would normally expect. How does the rest of his body look?

I wouldn't worry about any unseen urine as long as you clean out the tank every month or so. But still clean it out if you happen to see any.

He did shed previously and shed his eye caps but that was only a week ago. Now they are fogged over again I imagine due to stress as was suggested earlier. The rest of his body looked fine except for a few flakes remaining on his neck due to a bad shed. He has gone back into his hide and has stayed there for the last couple of nights so I'm not sure what his body or eyes look like right now. I guess I'm just watching and wondering how long is too long for him to have his eye caps.

It's been just over a week that I have totally left him alone. He has gone through his second shed but he still won't come out of hiding. He'll stick his head out but if he see's me he hides again. I know he comes out at night because I find a little substrate in his water dish when I change it. I think I'll try to feed him again soon. I'm still worried about him.
