    I agree with connie 100%. In my honest opinion, a male ball python, no matter how big you consider it to be only needs a small rat (or a large ASF) per week. Anthing more is too much, and can cause it to become overweight.

    Male ball pythons are not supposed to be big and fat. they are supposed to be relatively slender. all of my adult males hover right around 1200 grams... and trust me, they are NOT underweight.

    I don't even feed my ex breeder ASF's to my males, because I feel they are too big. I save those for my big females as a treat... If there are no Xbreeders available I feed my big girls 2 large ASF's a week when not in breeding season.

    i will be adjusting the feeders for my male.

    for the female... the only feeders i find in my area are mice that are the size of quarters and rats that are the way bigger than golf balls. there is a big gap in the sizes and a rat would rip my little girl in half. i am soon to join the local herp society and hopefully i will be able to get some ideas on better or more places to get feeders. or maybe i will start breeding my own.
