haha.....trust me, i'd love to get another GTP but I already have 4 balls, two turtles and now this little gtp so i think i've reached my limit for now. Plus my girl would kill me!!! :O

You're probably looking at 10 smalls before moving up in size. Once they are on mice with fur, they seem to "take off". The time between fuzzies and adults doesn't seem long to me....at least in my experience. I'll go over some of my feeding cards and post results. It may take me some time, but it should give you a better idea of a general timeline.

I've got my little bush master babies eating every 4 days. I've even got one that is doing better and has taken a very small rat pup for me. Shipping on rodents is pricey! Catch the manager at petco and see if you can get a discount on buying several pinkies at a time. It's always worth a try.

Ok, first off let me apologize for taking so long to get this posted. I really have been meaning to get it done.

Here are feeding schedules for three separate animals from 2 clutches. The first two animals are from my Big Daddy and Big Momma, and the third is from Enigma and Silgrit.

Growth can depend on many things including genetics, locale, feeding, and sex. Notice all of these animals are feeding on large adult mice at less than one year old. In my opinion, key growth is obtained during the first year of age, and more importantly during the first 6-8 months. I now have 2.5 year olds that are in the 600-700 gram range. Once my animals are feeding regularly on adult mice, I feed once every 7-28 days depending on the animal and the sex of the animal.

Codes are as follows.

S=shed
P=live pink
FP=f/t pink
F=fuzzy
FF=f/t fuzzy
FH=f/t hopper
FW=f/t weanling/small mouse
M=f/t adult mouse

This should give you a general idea of when to switch food sizes, although, I did not indicate when I jumped from small pinks to large pinks and so on. That is something you'll have to judge on your own depending on the animals you are feeding. I generally feed about 5 times on one size before slightly moving to the next size.....but as I said, it's something you'll have to be the judge of. I hope this helps.
