Yeah, sometimes they just have an off day and start feeling insecure. I had a couple that liked to try that type of thing with me once in a while but once I gave them a little time on their own (1-2 months no handling) they calmed right down. Chalk it up to, like Slim said, "they do that sometimes".

Sounds like she is still stressed to me. Just keep handling her every few days for about 10 - 15 min or so. She will calm down eventually. Oh, and don't put her close to your face.

I would actually back away for a while. I think the snake needs some time to become accustomed to his new enclosure. Typically I don't handle until 2 weeks have passed and I've fed the snake twice. The snake will eventually become accustomed to his new enclosure, after that you can ease him into handling. After the 2 weeks I handle every other day and check to see if they feed. If so I bump up handling to daily, if not I back off again.

thanks for all the feedback. i'm def giving her more time. shes feeding great though, which is a good sign. She was actually probably about 18 inches from my face when she struck so she didn't come too close. It was just a concern. I think i read somewhere sometimes it could take a month. Im will to give her as much time as she needs.
