I must be getting good at this because I just sent off his poop to the vet yesterday! Didn't even need an appointment - just dropped it off. And... it was FREE. Well, not really. I had him checked out a month ago when I got him and I went ahead and told the vet to do the deworming. So, I get a poop check with it. Poop was okay... so, yeah, you guys are right on. Nothing wrong with my snake so far. I went ahead and fed him yesterday (since he pooped) which is only 5 days from the last feeding and he ate with gusto (he's been eating consistently since I got him ASF's). So, I'm going to keep a 5 day schedule until he refuses.

Lol, I just have a decent range of species right now. I just hit the 20 snake mark :D. This is actually only my first year really keeping snakes too. I had a couple leopard geckoes, turtles and chinchillas before I joined the Army but now that I'm out I'm going in a little different direction :D.

I wouldn't worry too much about your little guy as long as he's eating ok, pooping and still gaining weight 140g is not a low weight for a 3-4 month old snake. Some snakes just have higher or lower metabolisms. Actually my spider is a May-June 08 baby, when I got him he was 60g and now he's up to 250g! Spiders as a general rule are great eaters and he's been no exception :). He's my little garbage disposal, whenever I have an extra rat because someone else refuses I toss it in with him and it's always gone in a minute or two.

Also, glad to hear the fecal came back fine! Typically if he had an actual feeding/weight problem something would show up in that exam.
