Actually the only way I'm gonna cut the mess is to cover the whole side. They don't dig so much as have the bedding stuck to them everywhere so everytime they climb the mesh it falls out. Top, bottom, middle it makes no difference. They manage to 'throw' the bedding several feet by jumping at the top section of mesh. Everytime I walk by they climb the stuff wanting pets and treats.

As for redoing your's. I'm sorry you have to do that. But replacing the mesh has got to be better than starting all over, right?
