Re: Wow...Petland Linked to Puppy Mills
the sad thing is, i personally think the only thing these findings will change is they wont be able to lie and say they aren't using mill puppies.

so many people buy dogs from petstores even knowing they are mill dogs, because those stores play on peoples weaknesses. people with hearts feel bad leaving that cute little puppy in the cage and walking away.

I just wish the united states would step up and put a stop to all animal mills. they dont tho.. the money is still green & uncle sam doesn't care where it comes from.

but yet they think they have every right to stop your average joe schmoe from owning certain pet snakes..

    sickening..

I just don't get people who are willing to buy from a chain store when good breeders of all types of puppies are avaliable in almost every part of the country. Why wouldn't you want to talk to the breeder and possibly see the parents of a pup that will be sharing your house and life with.

Several years back, an Air Force buddy of mine wanted to get a German Sheppard, and was checkinig out the chain stores. I showed him some stuff on the internet, and he found a breeder only 25 miles from his house. He got to see the parents and pick out the pup from the litter. he also built up a great relationship with the breeder and now does German Sheppard rescue work.
