How's the UTH working now? If the external temps vary by more than a degree or two (in the room where the snake is) the rheostat will need pretty constant tweaking....

Hot side needs to be around 90-94F and the cool side needs to be around 82F.
Also, humidity is a bit high...

Watch the humidity for a while; sometimes a new set up will take a little while to settle when it comes to humidity.

    Also,

One of the best pieces of advice I've gotten from this forum is to buy a laser temp gun. Lets you check for hot spots on the enclosure floor. Especially important when using a UTH. You can get a really good one from Sears for $48. Remember, the ambient temp in the enclosure is rarely the temp on the floor and in the hides where your BP will hang out most of the time.

Sorry, missed the part about it being up at 75% for two days. Do you have a screen top? If so, you can open a little more of it up to the air flow. Also, you can use a blow dryer to dry up some of the humidity, but be care full with that one cause you can dry it out too much...also don't have the snake in there when you try it.

My UTH took about 30 mins to get to full hot the first time I turned it on without the reostat. I had some hot spots in the 113 deg range on the enclosure floor. Thats with a terrarium liner and about two inches of repti-bark over the UTH.

Sounds like you need a bigger UTH or insulation around the tank or a different cage.....

im using coco fiber eco earth bedding with moss on top under the hides and around the water bowl humidity went down to 60% but temps still havent changed maybe to much substrate? I dont know. Im using a 10 gal. tank its got a screen top w/zoo med uth rated for 10-20 gal tank. Shouldnt that be enough? How do I go about insulating it? I'm getting my snake next week want it to be right for him/her.

I would try decreasing the amount of substrate or changing it over to aspen or even paper. Keep the moss though since you'll be battling humidity more
