    Really? I think using 17" flex for even a 41qt tub is overkill. Most freedom breeder CB-70 racks only use 3" which is plenty.

    Oh. Ok. So then ill go with 3" flexwatt. But you think i can use a rheostat for now until i get a thermostat?

    That is up to you, personally, knowing just how hot flexwatt can get, I wouldn't risk it.

    You can find foil tape at your local Home Depot or Lowes. Its made for sealing sheet metal and metal air ducts.
