    Re: Substrate
I have a quick question on Aspen bedding. Up until this time I used aspen bedding that was more like shavings. I was just given two large bags of aspen "bedding" and when I opened it up the aspen was more like slivers and very small chips. A much finer mix than the shavings. Has anyone used this type and is it ok to use? Other than feeding time I cannot see a problem with it but want to check.

    Thx

I used reptibark in my 50g and within a month my snake had belly rot... I thought i was doing pretty good on the spot cleaning but apparently I missed some... I was intending on doing a full substrate change soon but the rot came first... He has been on paper towels and newspaper since and doesnt really care... I would eventually like to get him back into something that won't look so industrial so I will probably try aspen
