Brongersmai I believe should have the grey speckly belly. If you know what scale rot is (and what healthy scales look like, seeing you have quite a few boas) I think you'd be able to notice if he had scale rot. :gj:

thanks :) hes def a cutie, and such a sweet one at that :) i was scared of what his temperament would be like at first, but hes not snappy at all. but then again, i dont make sudden movements around him and i try my best not to startle him or make him mad lol.

it doesnt look at all to me like he has scale rot. his scales are smooth, no lesions, no nothing. ive emailed some buds of mine who have red bloods, and all of them said he looks perfectly normal, being that all of their red bloods have grey bellies too. we had a ball a while back at work that had scale rot, it was very obvious, even when it first started. i do have to be careful wtih this guy, and keep on top of his cleaning, cause this guy has a habit of spilling his water all over the place  little turd, LOL. :D

Most young snakes are defensive and snappy. It's not uncommon for them to be very uncomfortable and strikey when young.
