OK, I got the UTH hooked up to my orignal thermostant which brough the temperature down. Now these termostats sound good, but clearly I dont have $500 dollars to spend on one of these. But I do have lots a deals with all my pet stores around here, do pet stores carry these? Or can get them in for me? Or is this specialty internet order thing?

Pretty much an online order thing only. I have yet to see a pet store that carries thermostats. I highly suggest the ranco as I mentioned before, on ebay you can get one shipped for about 60 but you have to wire it, but thats not hard.
