I saw a pic of one BHB produced and it was kinda different? I wonder how much they can vary?

It's funny you should mention BHB's animal because they did produced some and they DID look different. Now here's the interesting part...

Our animal that I posted pictures of was produced from a breeding between our male Enchi and one of our female Pewters. If you look at ours, it looks like a Cinnamon with a bit of Enchi in it.

Brian's animal was produced from a breeding between a male Pewter to a female Enchi. His looks like an Enchi with a bit of Cinnamon in it.

This leads to the bigger question - can the appearance of the offspring vary and be dependent based on what sex each parent is? Meaning - does our animal look more like a Cinnamon with Enchi coloration because mom was a Pewter? And therefore, does Brian's animal look more like an Enchi with Cinnamon influences because he used a female Enchi? If this is true, then does that mean that mom's morph is more dominant than dad's?

So for example, would the Bumblebees from a Spider x Pastel look any different than the Bumblebees from a Pastel x Spider? Brian and John Piro did notice significant differences in the visual appearances of Kingpins based on what each parent was in the breeding.

I don't know if this observation is true for all morphs because I don't think there has been enough detailed notes kept on various breedings to draw a definitive conclusion but it would make for an interesting project!

    Beautiful pics, as usual Celia!

I am intrigued with your observation about the male/female dominance. What did John and Brian conclude about Kingpins?
