Again im not sure how this would affect our hobby, if it would at all. Just wanted to share with everyone.

i read it also and i see no part in the entire article that obama made any such claim as to supporting a ban. just stiffer rules on owning certain exotic animals and he is focused more on the dag/cat situation then anything.

You and I know that...but we're talking about politicians here....not the brightest people on the planet, my friend.

Yes yes...I see more bans looming over our hobby in the near future.

Let's have a big round of applause for everyone who voted for the guy. You just helped put some more nails in our coffin!

I'm as much an animal lover as the next person but a ban or stricter policies on owning exotic animals is not nearly as much of a pressing issue as other factors that helped determine people's votes. Don't make ignorant and rude comments towards people's political decisions. If it really bothers you that much, move to another country.

PS: The key word here is HOBBY. You have to pick your battles wisely. What's more important to you? Keeping your snakes or the greater good of your country?

Thanks for bringing it up, it was an interesting post except for that little quote at the top by the poster which they clearly pulled out of no where lol.

Yeah i guess your right, however i wonder what affect he will have on the restriction/ban fish and wildlife ordeal, if any at all. I havent heard or read anything on the subject lately. Anyway like i said i didnt mean to ruffle any feathers, i saw it and felt like sharing;).

My feathers have yet to be ruffled! I was just confused about how a primate ban meant that he didn't want anyone keeping snakes, but I can understand the correlation now, even though it is a little bit of a stretch.

Agreed. although i did vote mccain for being more experienced, i do not see obama doing much more damage then what has been done to the country already. with that being said and all of our political beliefs on whos best for our country we will only see how things go and as far as our hobby goes, regardless of what email popped up into circulation i truely doubt regulations and bans of certain animals/reptiles will be on his agenda any time soon. as with any president democrat or republican our countrys issues and priorities will always be handled first so i do not think our hobby will be effected just because obama won the presidency. hate it or love it it could have easily been changed with mccain also because he doesnt care for exotic reptiles either.
