I only have one female that likes to tip them, and then that's really rare. I've tried a lot of different bowls and the plastic crock dog bowls work the best for me. Ceramics are heavy and NEVER tip but they drive me nuts. They're heavy and are a guaranteed smash if they drop. I ordered 20 of them once and had to return them all cause they weren't sealed properly and leaked all over all the cages. :O I wasn't happy, lol.

Haha! That just made my day. The polar bear was out of his cage because the silicon was still drying. Don't worry, he is back in safe and sound.

I love Animal Plastics cages. I think I am going to stick with them for my caging from now on.

Anyways, Jimi, it doesn't look like the cages you have are very far apart (vertically). Does having the heat tape that close to the top of the cage below cause any problems, or does it just help heat both cages?

It helps heat the upper and lower layers. I have a t-stat controlling the top cage and the bottom cage of each stack, because those cages will be cooler. Then I have another controlling all 4 in the middle of each stack.
