Thanks Nancy. I sure hope so too! He's not in a lot of pain, but he's getting some ibuprofen and the brace is helping quite a bit. (I'm still kinda waiting for him to hurt himself on the crutches)

Thank you Judy. The timing could have been a bit better, since he has a big camp out with cub scouts this coming weekend in Talledega. We'll see what the doctor says on Monday before we make any final decisions on that one.

Nah, he's not embarassed. He was a bit overheated and tired, as I took that pic right after we got home.

He's totally loving that I'm letting him play lots of video games right now.

It still hurts just thinking about him hitting that concrete, but we're sooo fortunate he didn't get hurt worse. (I'm trying to focus on the bright side)

    Thanks Laurie.

    OUCH! That fall sounds painful!

I may have to go buy him a new video game.... that's a good idea. He will love you forever if I do. ;)

Fortunately there really is very little swelling. When they showed us the xray they didn't have to point out the break, it was THAT obvious.

I'm glad to hear that these injuries heal well. I swear I'd never heard of anyone breaking their knee cap, but we had a girl do it while playing soccer just a couple weeks ago.

Gaah...makes my old bad knees ache just thinking about it...

Um...tell him to cut back on red wine (red wine always kills my bad knee). :P

ouchies. sorry to hear that happened to the little guy. Here's to a speedy recovery. Yeah I agree, I hope he had a boat load of the good candy (not the cheap stuff people like to give out) before that happened and he needs a new video game. :D keep us posted on how he is doing.
