Fiberglass? I don't know bout you but that sounds mighty uncomfortable to me. You ever had a fiber glass sliver or itch like crazy cause that stuff got on you.

    Clear:
I'd avoid any non-paper products for nesting. Throw in some napkins instead or lightly torn pages of an old phonebook. or if there's enough bedding (and you say they have a hide box) they should be fine without. I just find that mice with something to shred spend less time looking for escape.

    Fiberglass just sounds bad!

I breed my rats in the garage, and the winter gets very cold. I use a space heater in the winter, which keeps the water from freezing. So I know that it is above 32F, but I do not know the exact degree.

Have you ever found wild mice in a garage or house? They are almost always nested in fiberglass insulation. Trust me, it's their nest of choice. Insulation is not like it was 20 years ago. It only takes a handful.

true, but even if the mice like the stuff I don't want to deal with it. :D

Mine are in a barn outside and it has gotten in the mid thirties every night this week and they are doing good. They've produced two litters this week.
